Bayou Rapides Corporation is a general contracting firm founded in 2003 by Thomas A. Antoon, serving Central Louisiana and the surrounding areas.  We have grown from being the premier custom Residential Building Contractor in Central Louisiana to now a Commercial General Contractor as well.

Brad is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of BRC. Graduating from Louisiana State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Brad spent the first 13 years of his career at Turner Specialty Services in Baton Rouge as a Project Manager for civil construction and remediation. Brad relocated back home to Central Louisiana in 2012 to serve as BRC’s Vice President of Operations, growing our company to include commercial, civil projects, demolition as well as residential.​

As the son of long time Central Louisiana builder Robert Hunter, Bobby Hunter grew up in the residential construction industry, working on job sites from when he was 13 years old and then later taking over his father’s company. When BRC was formed in 2003, Bobby was hired to serve as Project Manager as well as Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager. Bobby is an asset to BRC with his years of knowledge in custom residential building.

Austin is a 2010 graduate of University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Construction Management. Austin has been working as a Project Manager/Estimator since 2013, first with Westerchil Construction Co., followed by JM Lyons Construction, and finally joining our team at BRC in 2020. Austin is well versed in overseeing projects from start to finish, collaborating with engineers, architects, and efficiently managing project costs and budget.

 

Mark came to work for BRC to lead our millwork shop in 2007 following a 22-year career with Hanley Gremillion Millwork as a Master Cabinet Builder. Mark’s attention to detail and decades of experience has led Mark to create innumerable beautiful custom pieces for our clients. Currently Mark serves as Superintendent, scheduling and overseeing staff on construction sites and monitoring work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.

Jennifer joined the BRC team in 2021 as a Project Manager/Estimator. Jennifer has many years’ experience in project management after serving as Alliance Coordinator at Dis-Tran Steel then as Project Coordinator at Beta Engineering. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from LSUA in 2012. Jennifer is an asset to BRC with her skills in preparing RFP’s, estimating projects, and assisting other project managers in project administration. 

Shana wears many hats at BRC serving as Office Manager, Bookkeeper, and Assistant. Shana earned her Associate Degree in General Studies from Northwestern State University in 2010 and will earn her B.S. in Business Administration in Spring 2022. Since joining the BRC team in 2012, Shana has proven herself invaluable in organizing and managing the day-to-day administrative tasks of our busy office.

Tony joined the BRC team in 2021 as a Supervisor. Tony has been a carpenter for over 24 years and can perform and supervise all types of carpentry work from slab to trim work and every step in between. Tony’s vast experience includes both residential and commercial projects – including building movie sets for Hollywood. Tony leads by example and works right alongside his crew encouraging teamwork and quality workmanship.
